MUSIC CLUB ANNUAL MEETING – March 22, 2026

The meeting called to order at 6:36 p.m. by President Dave Williams.

A confirmation of a quorum was made by Marilyn Green, secretary pro-tem.

The minutes of the last General Membership Meeting on January 21, 2026, were approved by acclimation

The Financial Report was given by Charlie Green. The Music Club’s financial performance for the full year of 2025 concluded very close to the planned expectations. Careful management of costs, combined with strong revenue from our events, allowed the club to finish 2025 with a net income that has established a solid financial foundation as we move into 2026.

In the first nearly three months of 2026, there have been continued positive results. Concerts have been well attended, and expenses remain well managed.  Overall, the cash flow remains healthy, positioning the club well for the remainder of the year.

The Nominating Committee of Spence Videon, Kristyne Olson and Steve Jacobsen submitted the following slate of officers and directors to serve for the next term.

        President – Dan Kjellman

        Vice President – James Hersch

        Past President – Dave Williams

        Secretary – Barb Slager

        Treasurer – Charlie Green

Technical Support Coordinator – Nick Scovill

        Facilities Coordinator – Marilyn Green

        Publicity Coordinator – not filled

        Show Coordinator – Harvey Finstein

Band Coordinator & Vocal Representative – David Lavallee

        Communications Coordinator – Martha Hutton

Dave Williams asked if there were any further nominations from the floor.  Hearing none, by acclimation, the named Board Members and Directors will serve for the term May 2026 – April 2027.

Gayle Isley will be retiring from her board position of Publicity Coordinator.  A search for a replacement is underway.

President Dave Williams commented on his time as president the past two years where many things have happened.  In the last year, the Music Club has generated over $20,000 for CAM, made 317 room reservations, held eight big production shows, 14 Live at Cimarron shows, nine single shows, nine Open Mic nights, and two Songwriters shows.  He thanked the board, ushers, sound/ lighting crews, stagehands and members who supported what we do!

In addition, Dave mentioned the technical upgrades that are being discussed.  Three Music Club members are on the Advisory Committee.   CAM’s budget is $950,000 with needs costing $1.4 million.

Dave also thanked Jim Ward, past president, for his mentorship over the last two years. Hall of Fame Awards:

President Dave recognized the past Hall of Fame recipients that were in attendance.  He then presented 2026 Hall of Fame awards to Gary Povick and Gayle Isley.

A motion to adjourn was made by Jim Ward, seconded by Charlie Green.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
