I heard from Glenn Hamm today that his son, Dougls, has passed away. Doug has been suffering from Angiosarcoma, which sounds like a terrible disease. In reading through his obituary, he was quite an accomplished man and a positive influence wherever he was. The last line in the obituary really hit me: Doug never just entered a room. He made it a better place. I hope that at the end of my time, someone would write that about me! It's beautiful and gives a visual of the type of person Doug was. Glenn must have been so proud of him. I'm sure this makes it all the more difficult for Glenn and his wife to process this terrible loss.
The service is tomorrow in Manitowoc, WI. I've attached the link to the obituary below.
Please keep Glenn and his wife in your prayers. It would be wonderful if you could drop him a note or a card to let him know he is loved and cared for. Some of you, unfortunately, have gone through this same type of significant loss. Others of us can extend our sympathy. Here is his address:
