THE SALTY DAWGS

The “Dawgs” feature folk music from the 50’s and 60’s inspired by The Kingston Trio, Peter Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan and others – with an occasional Irish tune thrown into the mix. Their instruments include guitars, banjo, bass, harmonica and rhythm. In recent months they have been expanding their repertoire to include a variety of western, country, and humorous songs. The addition of an accomplished fiddle player and keyboard musician has allowed them to include instrumentals and other well-known standards. They love to encourage audience participation in a sing-along format.

COLOURS

Colours is a trio of musicians who thoroughly enjoy creating music together. Their approach has always been finding songs they love and creating unique arrangements suitable for the violin, flute, guitar, and vocals. They take great pride in crafting a distinctive sound.

Shelly Abner, known as the “Fiddle Girl," is an accomplished violinist with classical training and a deep passion for music transcending multiple genres. Tammy Gordon is an excellent flutist who has a strong connection to the music she and her fellow musicians choose to play. Her passion for her music is apparent every time she picks up her flute. Mark Powell is a talented guitarist and singer who, after many years of playing in a soloist role, is enjoying collaborating with these two talented artists.

Together, they strive to reinterpret beloved cover songs and occasionally include an original piece, creating a singular sound. They make up the trio “Colours” and hope you enjoy their music as much as they enjoy playing it.

SILVER LININGS

Silver Linings Band is a six piece band and offers a wide variety of traditional classic country and western songs. The Band incorporates a strong western style lead electric guitar, a strong high energy rhythm guitar player and vocalist, a professional drum player, a strong bass player and two outstanding female vocalists. They play a broad set of country songs from Johnny Cash to Willie Nelson, Toby Keith and from Patsy Cline, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Martina McBride and George Straight.
